Ultra wide lenses offer high quality optics and are an innovation in optical design. Compared to typical wide angle lenses which have barrel or "fisheye" distortion with fields of view of more than 80°, Theias ultra wide angle lenses allow to design fields of view of up to 135°. Herewith, barrel image distortion can be nearly completely eliminated, and straight lines remain straight in the image.
